Why learn English? Understanding why learning the English language is important can open up numerous opportunities.
MY passion for English started very early, at the age of 5.
At the time, the unique English word I knew was “water”; my grandfather had taught my father and then he taught me.
By the time, I couldn’t pronounce the word correctly nor spell. It’s obvious; I just new the meaning. Learning English language became important to me even as a child.
My name is Sabino Manuel, a lecturer in English language at Secondary School and Private University.
For over 22 years now, I’ve been teaching the language and helped many people over come their language learning problems.
I love, learning, working and staying home with my family.
I was born in a Portuguese speaking Country. Despite that, I managed to learn and to teach the language earlier before getting qualifications. at University.
- I got English Language Teaching Practices Qualifications, in 2010, and Masters, in Educational Management and Administration, in 2018.
What helped me cope with the difficulties of learning English as second language?
As a learner back then, I faced all kinds of language learning barriers that non-native learners face while attempting to master the language.
My number one straggle, was not knowing the right learning techniques to go for vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation and verb tenses.

Thanks to my determination, and support from others, I managed to develop simple, yet effective language learning TRICS .
These helped me a lot to master the language the easiest way.
Which is the reason why this blog was created.
The aim of the site is to share simple language learning tricks with people across the world straggling to know the language.
Knowing the reason why it’s important to learn the English language can be very motivating to kickstart, because if you are aware of the value of mastering the language it will be easier to move forward.
